There's a good reason why ChatGPT is so popular right now. It's a language model on steroids, chomping on a ton of text data and spitting out human-like responses that'll make you do a double-take. It's like having a genius writing buddy that never gets tired or needs a break. Whether you're building a chatbot, generating any content, or trying to translate something, ChatGPT's got your back. The best part, though? It’s open-source, which means that anyone can use it.
But do you really need to use it? That is entirely up to you, but let's just say it doesn't hurt to have some help with the heavy lifting when it comes to text generation.
Yes, OpenAI and other AI tools can help us with our content creation efforts, especially when it comes to writing long-form content like blogs or product descriptions. While the majority of the time is spent on ideation, and research, having an intelligent buddy to do this work can be a great plus. But first, let me warn you. It's important to remember that, like any other AI-generated content, the text produced by ChatGPT might not be entirely original and might even resemble other text that already exists online. These tools can only reuse and rephrase previously published ideas; they are not capable of producing original content. Given that Google's algorithms are built to detect and penalize duplicate content, this might result in lower rankings in search engine results.
So, think of ChatGPT's output as a rough draft and put your own spin on it to make it unique before you hit publish. And don't worry, Google isn't perfect; it may not always detect AI-generated content, but it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Using AI-generated text as a starting point for a blog post is a great way to generate ideas quickly. However, in order to make the final blog post informative and unique, it is necessary to edit and refine the generated text. This can include fact-checking, adding additional information or context, rephrasing sentences, and adding personal anecdotes or unique perspectives to the article. To give it that final human touch, you can also include images, videos, infographics, and other multimedia.
That’s not all…
When it comes to crafting a blog post that'll please both readers and search engines, there are a few things to keep in mind. One of the most important is optimising your post for search engines. And that's where ChatGPT comes in - it can help you with writing blog outlines, headlines and meta descriptions, alt tags, and more. In fact, you can use ChatGPT to generate blog post ideas based on keywords you've already researched. So, instead of just focusing on the content, make sure you're also paying attention to all the little details that'll make your post more visible to search engines.
Are you sold yet? If not, let me give you an example. I had to write a blog post about "5 Tips for Staying Productive While Working from Home." A post like this usually takes me about 4 hours to research and write. But with the help of an AI tool, I can reduce the time spent on research by using the AI output as a starting point, and then editing and refining it to make it unique. I can use the tool to generate a rough draft of the blog post, which includes tips and examples of staying productive while working from home.
So in total, I spend 2 hours writing the article and another hour on editing, personalizing and adding multimedia, which is half the time I would have spent writing the article from scratch. You see how it has helped me to stay productive. This way I can take in more work, which means more income.
It's like we're living in a science fiction movie, but instead of robots taking over the world, we've got AI tools taking over content creation. OpenAI just went public and bam! - millions of people are using it every day. I'm telling you, this is just the tip of the iceberg. There are gonna be so many more AI tools popping up, it's gonna make your head spin. And before you ask, no, AI tools aren't going to steal our jobs. They're just gonna make our jobs a whole lot easier. Sure, there's always gonna be the debate about whether AI can truly replace human creativity, but let's be real, it's not going to. But it will eradicate mediocrity, and that's something we can all agree on.
